Okay, I'll share some more. There might be 2 bears, but never there at the same time. Either that or its just the depth perception that makes it look so big at times.

Ya the cow died under the trailcam

Darksith
04-10-2010, 04:15 PM
of course it did, or maybe, wait...one of his cows died so he dragged it away and put a trail cam over it.

Can't be!! That would mean there's no conspiracy theories to go on about.

It is illegal to place bait to attract dangerous animals. The fact there is a trail cam on the bait pile is evidence enough that this was the intended purpose.

Do I care? no. Is it illegal? yes.

" IT’S UNLAWFUL:

16. to intentionally feed or attempt to feed

dangerous wildlife (cougar, coyote, wolf
and bear) except when lawfully engaged
in hunting or trapping where baiting is
authorised."

"6 bear may not be hunted by placing bait or by using a
dead animal or part of it as bait"

"Bait - means anything, including meat, cereals,

cultivated crops, restrained animal or any
manufactured product or material, that may
attract wildlife and includes plastic or other
imitation foods, but does not include a decoy
as described under these regulations."

Jees you guys are a bunch of whiners. He is not shooting it....just taking pics....Last time I checked farmers could leave dead cattle in the bush

So is it illegal to leave your gut pile in the bush now because other animals will eat it   . Who cares. In my eyes there is nothing wrong with finding a dead animal and put a trail cam near it. Cool pics

Sorry raynb, but your dead wrong.

He is not attempting to feed dangerous wildlife. Farmers have to place dead cows somewhere as they stink up the yard. What would you suggest he do with the carcasses? And putting a trail cam on it is certainly not illegal.

I placed trail cams on road killed moose this past winter.

I will place trail cams on the remains of bears this spring.

I like the pics.

I love it when the farmers drag their dead cows off into the bush! always able to get good sightings of wolf grizz and black bear. There's one spot that I know of that a very large grizz comes to evey spring. he has a trail worn down that is approx 6-7" deep. Hopefully I will get some pics this year.:-D

Gotta love internet forums. I was merely pointing out that this could be interpreted as illegal and unintentionally get someone in trouble, I specifically said I DO NOT CARE.

Can we give Suzuki directions and a predator call? We could tell him to blow on it to attract rare birds.

Thats a real big bear, I'd hate to play tag with him. Playing with a grizz isn't quite as fun as one might expect, the whole cute and cuddly persona kinda wears off quick:mrgreen: I'd say S.S.S on him

This should help explain this phenomenon :)
