I have a buddy that got a immy 2 years ago in behind lac le jeune and his dad got one out of the same area last year. My old man see tons of moose up there in the summer when he goes fishing. Lots of water up there.

funny though, I asked where a good place to hunt goat was and all I got was jokes and broad answers for the EK.

Jelly, you are hilarious.

I grew up in Barriere and hunted 3-28A and B so much you could drop me in there blind folded and I would be able to walk out. There is very little moose in those areas now. 20 years ago, there was decent moose there but not now.

Yes Jelvis is a bit out time wise that is with his moose comments me thinks. The moose glory days of the 70ies and 80ies are much changed from now in some places in Reg 3.

Jelly, I am not disagreeing that there isn't excellent habitat there especially with the new foliage in the burn areas but the numbers are no where close to what they were even ten years ago.

I don't even bother moose hunting there anymore if that says anything.

Good muley country with good numbers there though.

Why not moose hunter? karma.
Mu 3-28 up Darlington Creek fsr by Darfield towards Powder Lake area, then just before 3-30 turn north (right) on Patrick Creek fsr to Patrick lake this is pretty good for moose. Take a good skinning knife along with a sharpening stone.
Jel -- Darlington Creek fsr for a popular moose area..just north past Barriere to Darfield turn left (west) off Number 5 Hwy and watch for moose and some big mule bucks.

Moose more moose in 3 than 7a ?? now...must be migrating due to global warming?? How is the fishing in Patrick Lake? Good for a swim or a drink or just a puddle??
