As long as your dog shows that they have the instinct and the ability to get into the birds you should have no problem. The real hair pulling starts when you start your dog on getting his field dog and higher designations. Or better yet when you enter the dog into a field trial.

Willy got 91/100 he did awesome he was 2 points off the lead dog. But for me being a weekend warrior bird hunter I was a very proud mamma!
