Bears Around Kelowna!!!

has anyone seen any bear around the kelowna area? iv been out a bunch and havent seen anything....

Ive not seen any yet but its still early. I wounder what the area on the Westside will be like this year (Terrace Mtn.).

Went for a hike on Saturday got into quite a bit of bear sign. Once I got to a vantage point, 30 seconds of glassing with the binos and my first black bear of the year was spotted.

iv been all over bear creek, myra, mculloch, chute lake and i havent seen one

stilll too early for the place i hunt.... nothin green yet...so they arent walking the roads....im not gonna waste my time for another two weeks... i was up around terrace the otehr day and there was still heaps of snow!

yeah i know, even around the back roads of 8 k theres still lots of snow, up white rocks theres way to much to even get off the main road. i was just wondering if anyone has seen any straggler waundering around...

They will be out, guys just gotta hit the low elevation patches that don't have snow.

The first couple weeks in April are usually a favorite for grizzlies as well because the food is limited and usually all you find are boars. You can hit the same spots year after year and you will always find bears sitting on those patches of grass. The key is to find those patches of grass.

ya thats what ive been doin... im in no rush tho!.....they will be out in full force soon enough

i cant wait till may long, went to my cabin in lillooet last year and saw 14 different bears, this year will be good!

Do any of you know when Texas Creek Road (just south of Lillooet) opens? It's closed for a certain time every year to help the Grizzlies that are in the area. I was up there last year and saw the sign posting the closure dates, but know I can't remember them. Just wondering if any of you guys know.
