Well we made a little trip down Island today to meet up with Dakota Winters of this site and also meet all of her puppies. We had put a deposit down on a pup but we hadn't made our decision on which one we wanted. After meeting them all and spending a little over an hour with all of them we decided on this little guy. She has them all "lettered" for identification (a,b,c, etc) ours was "i". As is inevitable they have ended up getting some nicknames coinciding with their letter, (apple, banana, etc..) As it turns out ours has been nicknamed Ivan the Terrible...lol... The only thing she could think of for "i" lol. I think I will keep it as his registered name,...hahaha Not sure what his house name will be yet tho. Here's a couple pics of the little gaffer, won't be ready to come home for a few more weeks yet. Thanx a ton to the Dakota Winter household (Wynterpoint Brittany's) for putting up with us this Easter morning.

Very cute dog.

I think that Crocket is a good name... you can have Boone and Crocket.

The way your family kills them blacktails... you will be in that book many times!

my ex-gf brothers name was Van... and Ivan the Terrible would probably be along the same lines as Van... well if names correlate to their temperament that is.

I like the simple one syllable names... easy on call off, or telling them to do something.

HEY! Just what is wrong with chase? It dont sound like no kids name!
my dog is Chase That is why you cant name him that!!!

When Dutchie suggested Crockett I kinda thought Boone as well. I like the ring of it. And yes like Dutchie has said i like one sylable names. Easier for the training. When he goes running after something and you yell
"BOONE!" he will stop and its easy to say

Hahaha.. I like the one or two syllable names as well. We already have a Boone tho so Crockett would fit great, It doesn't seem to roll off the lips too good.

Maybe Chaz, Close to Chase but not quite

So we went down to Wynterpoint brittany's again today for one more visit with the pups before we get to bring him home for good. He certainly is full of Pi$$ and vinegar. I can't wait till Friday when he comes home. Here's a couple more pics of our pup and some of all of them.

Here's me and my newest little hunting partner.
