Got a decent one this weekend

Every year, I go back to my parents in Barriere and hit the North T. This time of year there is a rainbow run and it is hit and miss as usual. First day was fairly windy and one 16 inch bull trout. Second day out was much nicer weather and managed to get one of these trout. Saw one other guy get one as well just done from me so they are in there but not too many yet. The old man is going to smoke it up so I look forward to that.

This was on a bar setup with roe. Have tried a few times with my fly gear and have not had a sniff. Roe always seems to get one or two.

If you like big rainbows and bullies, you should come out to the koots,those are average size for here.We got an eight pound rainbow cronny fishing two days ago and brought a 20lb bullie to the shore.If you are ever out in the koots bring your fishing gear!!!!

nice fish..been fishing where you are for years got a 13.5 rainbow and 14lb dolly last year a little later in april though

Usually the majority of the run is in the latter stages of April.
