Hi,

Where is a good place to take a black bear for smokies, sausage, pepperoni, hams, etc to be made? I live in North Vancouver area but would be willing to drive a ways (Fraser Valley, etc) for a good product.

Beltrame Meats or Ennis Meats both in Langley have been good to me doing the smoked stuff and their prices. I have an Ennis receipt that says 20lbs pepperoni for $51.80 and the cryvac bags were $6.50

I took 48lb of venison to Beltrame and paid $150 out the door. But that was pre-butchered meat.

2.50 a lb is a good starting point for sausage or pep more for different types

I know "HunterMike" and his hunting buddy have a few times. They seemed content enough. Their prices were a little on the high side the last time I was in and asked.

I'd suggest no matter where you go, stop in the store and BS with whomever your going to use and find out how they run things.

Ennis Farms has always done a great job for me. I'll keep going back year after year.
