IMO they should make the season the same as whitetail bucks in Region 3. Sept 10-Dec 10 and they should increase the baglimits in every Region to be 2 whitetails (1 buck, 1 doe). In areas that are overrun by the damn weeds, they should increase the baglimit to 3 (1 buck, 2 does).

Yeah but how the hell are me and the wife going to eat 6 deer?
Yeah, yeah One bite at a time.

Pretty simple, donate the meat to someone who can. I'm sure there are many low income families who would love to get given some top-notch meat.

That's the plan. Regions 4 and 8 will see WT bucks go to Nov 30, region 3 to Dec 10. It's likely that regional bag limits will be increased to 3 deer too. One WT buck, one WT doe, and one MD.

No. Provincial will stay at 3. I should edit - WT bucks will stay open to Dec 10 in region 3.

You just about had me writing a letter to the BCWF over a loss of hunting opportunity in Region 3. Good thing you corrected yourself. ;)

We gotta control the dinky dog rats in region 3! Kill another "cranker" eh! Last fall's is absolutely delicious.

Planning on having both the kids fill the freezer with them this year. Nice that they'll be able to kill some whitey does around home this year instead of us traveling to Region 7 like the last few years. Definately will save on the gas bill.
Any sign that those talked about youth tag prices will be coming anytime soon?

Nothing exciting on that front at the moment.

Youth will have the opportunity for antlerless wt from Oct 10-Nov 30 as opposed to Oct 10-31 that the all hunter GOS will have.

Am I going to have to wait till I have grandchildren hunting before I see youth tag prices? What's taking them so long on implenting that?

SWEET! The kids will be happy they have some extra time, although I don't expect it'll take my 2 kids too long. ;)

Good news, hopefully the limit is 2 WT and 1 Mule Deer. Looks like there will be some kind of Antlerless Elk GOS as well as a season on bulls in the WK.

If the MOE truly wants to see these changes bring about a reduction in W/T numbers then why not have the GOS on antlerless open on October 8th not October 10th?
For those of us that have jobs that don't give us the flexibility to get away at times outside of weekends and who have to travel 4 or 5 hours to get to an area where we might have some success the Thanksgiving weekend is a prime weekend for us. October 10th is Thanksgiving Day. Lots to give thanks for if successful on that day or on the next day when you have to break camp but otherwise a pleasant weekend in the bush but with an empty freezer and some tag soup.

Haven't carefully read all the postings on this, so it may be a repeat.
Someone said same synopsis this year as last.
Not so. They come out like this every year. The one we now have is marked 2009/2010. That means it is applicable for fall of 2009 and for the spring of 2010.

I think its a good idea for GOS for WT does this opening will thin out the does but the management are going to have to monitor the population of doe WT to make sure that the population will no dwindle to a low number after a few years..
