Well this will be my first year putting in for leh. Really looking forward to it, going on my forth year hunting and still haven't pulled the trigger on anything hopefully maybe i can get a doe tag. That's about all i see when I'm out there lol..

Had a quick look, and like what I see.

The Spatsizi caribou split into four separate terms will give a lot more resident opportunity. Also like the idea of the combined moose/caribou hunt, and potential for sheep/goat combined hunts. Very nice!

My mistake. Did'nt see that they had the okanagan moose split.

I like the combo hunt in the Spatsizi.
Great idea, but eight hunts don"t cut it. Should be a combo across the board.
Too costly to get in, having only one species.

Overall much better.
The squeaky wheel might be getting the oil.
Hopefully better things to come.

I wonder if this is because we are getting an immature open season instead of 100% LEH ? Hopefully.

The doe draws (mule) in region 5 have also been cut back substantially. Odds on those will likely go up this year.

Great to see that BC MOE is staying up to date with the times as you can even get the regs. on your iphone and maybe the blackberry as an app in the app store. The changes are going to make it more favorable for all who want to hunt to have better access to the animals we want to chase.

I have every copy of the BC Hunting Regs from about 1978 to 2010, looking back? it would be nice to use ?? hmmmm??

generous GOS seasons for everything with HAIR ! including does and moose cows, for elk and caribou, most regions just say Bulls!,and GOS for Grizzly, spring and fall hunts,,,,hmmmm? yep I am gonna use the 1982/1983 synopsis this fall!:wink:

Hunted 5-13b last year and didn`t see a lot of deer was one of the worst years for deer in the area we hunt in a long time.Saw lots of wolf sign tho.We did get our LEH moose.

This will be my second hunting season and first year for LEH. The odds look good for a muley doe draw for the area i hunted last year and thats all we saw while hunting LOL.

So the LEH synopsis should be in stores in week or two? What about the 10/11 hunting synopsis? should that be coming out shortly? anyone know when?

Well, you can bet that there will be whitetail doe openings, but they will be for limited time periods and probably of varying lengths in different sub-regions depending on the population.

I remember in the 1970s we had a month long antlerless season on Vancouver Island and even in 80s when I moved to Vancouver, there was still a period in 2-11 when antlerless was open.If I remember right there was an antlerless season in 3-17 or 3-18 too, but at the time that seemed like an interplanetary expedition for me in my 1971 Toyota Corona.

What is the deal with the Rosie hunt in Sechelt? I thought you needed a permit to hunt in the town limits currently. Are they now just not issuing the permits to limit hunting to private land or are they trying to disallow the hunting all together?
