I just returned from the meeting. Thank you to Bridger and the other gentlemen who took time to answer some of the questions that have arisen regarding the future for resident hunting in our province.

Throughout the meeting it was repeatedly stressed that we as hunters need to be more proactive in the defense of our activities in the outdoors.

We can do this by all supporting the Resident Priority Fund to the best of our financial means. I personally will be sending in another donation and I urge every other hunter to do the same.

If anything kills our sport, it will be the horrific APATHY of our youth. That was so evident at yesterday's meeting!
The issues that were discussed were right on the money. And speaking of money, we should all be donating to the Resident Priority Fund. Like Bridger and the other speakers put it so well, we need to be able to hire full-time professionals to lobby on our behalf (just like the Natives, the outfitters, and the anti-hunter organizations already do so successfully).

Good job guys! I just wish that more of Fort St. John's "hunting fanatics" could have been there to hear the message...
