I'm in the market for a frame pack for packing out quarters. I already have a pack for gear I'm happy with that I'll just attach to it. I'm familiar with Badlands, Mystery Ranch, Kifaru, and Eberlestock but they are either out of my price range or have a scabbard set-up that I don't like. I am aware of how many like the Kifaru Gunbearer, but would like to try something else - I can always change to a Gunbearer later if I become a convert.
So right now it's between Bullpac or Nimrod's folding frame pack. Anyone have any experience with Nimrod Backpacks? I do like the looks of them, but unless I hear some rave reviews I'm 90% certain I'm going for a Bullpac - everyone who has one seems to like it. I've never seen a review of the rifle mount that Bullpac sells though - anyone have one on their Bullpac? Is it fairly good, fast access?
