Real nice.
I'd be scared of losing it with the open top sheath.
That thought always crosses my mind on fixed blade knives and has prevented me from owning one.

actually i thought the same thing with regards to the sheath, but when talking to Bob he said he has not had any problems at all.

Wow, thats an beautiful knife!

The guy I share the house with carries a ~4" knife in an open top sheath, he's never lost it and he's in the bush all the time. I personally carry a folding blade deep in my pocket, and a 6" fixed with a snap-shut sheath for it. I personally don't trust it (even if it does hold the knife firmly, they do eventually wear down from use), and I'd really hate to lose a knife like that! LR

I have 4 of Bobs Knives and they are the best you can find, the one is 8 years old and still snugs to the sheath perfectly....

I didn't think it was a big secret, if you contact blacklab I'm sure Bob Lay will get the message.
And thanks for all the good press.

Bob had a table at the Chilliwack show on the weekend. I was happy to see him because I have been looking to contact him for about 2 years and there isn't enough info on the interweb. The knives feel even better than they look. I don't have any reservations about the sheath he makes. I think Bob's reputation speaks to that. I'll definately be getting one.

Bob told me to go to www.bladegallery.com (http://www.bladegallery.com) for a profile of some of his knives. They're around $500 each. If your serious about making an order, call him at 250-523-9923. He's in Logan Lake.

Saw his booth at the chilliwack show and had a hard time leaving it. If I hadn't already spent my money on a new scope, I would've seriously considered one of his knives. Congrats on a grade A knife!!:)
