More Videos at very Bottom Of Page

Got a trail cam about 2 months ago,

got quite a few pics and vids so far, not as many deer as I had hoped, however, in my neck of the woods, althought there are some nice blacktails, they are not very dense as far as I have seen.

Here's a Beaver

And a Raccoon with no tail

I got these two videos using a castor mound. Just wanted to prove what I already knew, how effective castor was at drawing in critters, two beavers and a raccoon came to it over night

Here's a nice doe from Lytton, i had no bait in from of the cam, but she stayed for 15 minutes right there lol, ended up with like 20 vids of her!

And these people walked up on a baited stump I had, back in the bush up the Chilliwack Valley lol, Was trying to bring in some bobcats, had cut tons of fresh track in the area

Had a calf and a skunk hanging in the stump, and some duck feathers scattered around, I have no idea what they were doing, the one guy had a sword lol!! This was on boxing day!

Great work Snareman. I set up a trail cam for a week in early Jan in the area of the Foley lake FSR. The only pic I had on it after the week was one of me heading in to take it down. I was sooooo disappointed.

Oh I know! it is so depressing to only have pics of yourself lol!!

Its actually deflating haha

Thats chilliwack deer hunting for yea. Don't get me wrong, there some nice bucks in the area, just they arent exactly running everywhere

Be alot easier to catch a steady stream of deer in say princeton, or Kettle Valley

However, up the valley I do know my fur bearers so that is what I have been concentrating on. I am on sort of a Fur Bearer "Grand Slam" mission you could say, want to get a photo or vid of one of each

Just got some great footage of some more animals, thought I'd share, A Bobcat, a Coyote and Mink

Not sure if you guys can slow down the video enough to see the time stamp at the beginning, but all the videos I got of the cat ( 10 total), he/she came within an hour of midnight. 2 days in a row it came, to the set, and it came 8 minutes apart

Click the Videos to play, may have to let them play a few times before they play smoothe, Photobucket is sort of slow

Also, on both the bobcat videos you will notice it rubbing itself on the ground. It is in fact rubbing its fur on the beaver castor (which is a beaver scent gland), They supposedly do this to mask their natural scent so they can be more effecient at hunting.

yea pretty strange, but I was pretty impressed that the animals I caught on video, the mink, raccoon, bobcat, coyote and beaver all came to the same castor lure, and all within about 2 weeks

Great videos. Are most of these videos taken around Chilliwack?

I think the guy with the sword must not have his PAL yet.
