Some of you might remember a buck I called 'The Coke Can Buck'. I picked up his matched sheds in the spring of 2007. He had bases the size of a Coke Can.

This year Steveo32 was able to find the 2008 matched set off of the Coke Can Buck. He lost his hook cheater and a little bit of tine length but still holds his mass well. He grosses 180 and nets just over the 175 min of BC Book.

Here are all 3 sets together. The top set is from 2004-2005, the first year I watched him. The second set is from 2006-2007 and the last set is from 2007-2008.

Here he is the day after he dropped his 2004-2005 set.

I picked up the broken side that day but couldn't match it up. Steveo32 found the match a couple years later. So we both have picked up 3 sheds off this buck.

awesome sheds weird to see him grow a cheater in one year and then gone the following year. was there any sign of a cheater starting to grow on the first set you found?

The question begs to be asked... why is he still alive to be dropping sheds? I think the next set should be attached to his skull.

Would be nice to see a real life pic of the Coke can buck. Have you thought of putting a trail cam up for him?:-D
4 years ago a buddy hunting with me round 150 mile House say's he saw a buck with bases, "thick as a beer can" is how he described it! I thought he was Bs'ing.

I'm quite certain this old buck is now dead. Never did ever see him during the hunting season. Aside from his hook cheater year, I really haven't considered him a target buck. He's got some great character with his mass but not a shooter in my mind.

Maybe a nice shooter for your kids.:-D Could be Coke Can Jr is hanging around in dads old haunts. Those bases are still impressive no matter how you look at it,thanks for sharing.:-D

Thats incredible, good job on finding sheds like that year after year. Do you think you will harvest this one next fall?

Thats a heavy old bruiser. Really cool to find sheds off the same buck for several years. Is he still out there?

Is a Pepsi can as good to use or not? Hey! Where did you find those big brown sheds?
Don't say, " On the ground."

Jelly,
"on the snow". The first side was found a month before it's match even though they were dropped on top of each other.

That's incredible beauty brown color and very healthy looking drops.
Your eyes must have POPPED OUT of their sockets when you saw that?
Jp .. Nothing like shed hunting to get a hunter excited .. huge bases on that buck

Naw Jelvis, I've got a lot of sheds way bigger. Was happy to find some tine that day and pleased they were of decent size, but they weren't eye poppin'. That was the same spring that I picked up the sheds off a 37 1/2 inch wide 200 inch typical. My eyes popped on that set. I know for a matter of fact I couldn't stop saying "Holy ####! I can't believe I finally found him! Holy ####!"

As a sideline to the Coke Can buck, I found another single off of him this past spring. That is 8 sheds we have off that one buck covering 5 years. It is pretty cool seeing a buck grow up in headgear.

Must travel after dark and before sunup? Or just stays in thick bush?
Must be hiding some place during the day light hours where no man has gone b4?
Jel .. Bucks get big by being smart and not getting attacked by cougarzzz or a wolf.
Even a pack of wily coyotes could put a hurting on a deer when the conditions are there
What's the bottom line on these bucks getting bigger and not BUSTED?!

Jelly,
Out of 5 years of sheds off the Coke Can I only ever saw him one day in early Jan. Definately a buck that liked the thick $hit!
