I ended the season with 3 days on the water this year, less then planned but always happy to get out. Whomever in Maple Ridge decided to move the March break this year is an idiot! Although spending time with the family is never a bad thing....

Good pics Ian F..
I remember when I was a young boy and my father talked about shooting Brants. It was always a good story and got him excited. But I really never understood what he was talking about. Sure we hunted and shot lots of honkers, snows etc,in our trips to Alberta, but to him it was'nt the same. Growing up in the Interior, I was never around these birds until I moved to the Island in the early 90's. I have to say. I've never shot one and probably never will, but I can see why their the most prized goose on the list!.. Thanks for posting your storys and pics.:-D.

ok heres a question: Are Brant good to eat? i was told they taste like crap from a whole bunch of people that had hunted them in years past.
so whats the real verdict?
