Moose roast in the slow cooker - probably a law against it 'cause it's too damned GOOD! :-D

only problem is it's hard to stop eating when it tastes that great!

the real spooky part is I even sliced my carrots and celery the same way you did,,,,

must be why the dish tastes so good,,

If it's done in the "TRADITIONAL" manner, then no it's not illegal.

What's illegal is posting stuff like that before dinner time.

Looks good, and my favorite big game for hunting in addition to eating. I posted a receipt a while back, for ribs in a slow cooker. We're just in the preliminary stages of using the slow cooker and a few days ago we 'tried' our first roast. We didn't have enough liquid so while the roast was good, it was very dry.

Club House Slow Cooker beef stew seasoning mix and about 1.5 cups of water (I use a bit more than they recommend). Maybe not "traditional" enough for Bow Walker, but it's a great mix that isn't too salty like some of the others.

Yes, This is illegal if you do not invite us over for supper. We will let the others figure out what the fine shall be. I think a good punishment would be to make you hunt the logging roads next year on foot and in high heals.

Fisher Dude! Instructions please!
How long? Did you sear it first? What setting on the slow cooker?
I think I have the same slow cooker as you. The black ceramic pot looks identical.

Mmmmmm... Nice FD.

Definately one of my favourites. I always stab the roast a few times prior to cooking and insert slices of garlic. Also - make sure to serve with a 50/50 mixture of mayo/hot horseradish for dipping!

X2 on the Mayo-Horse radish!
I also like to turn the sauce into a rich dark gravy and do a batch of Yorkshire Puddings, nothing better than good meat and gravy and Yorkie`s!

Put roast in pot. Fill with veggies. Mix sauce and pour over top. Cook on low for 8 - 9 hours. Eat. Burp. Fart.

It doesn't get any simpler than that. No searing. I let my stuff sit mixed in the pot in the fridge overnight to marinate. I use a timer at the plug in, set for 8 hours or so, when I leave for work in the morning. Come home to a great smelling house!

Come home to a great smelling house!

Is the smell of the moose roast strong enough to cover up the smell of dog diarrhea??:?

I'd say it looks good but your picture host is down and all I see at the moment is a red "x".

did you know you can SUPER FAST cook a moose roast in your pressure cooker???

you just have to drive a small hard wooden dowel into the steam release hole at the top of the lid, then quick get OUT of the house,:?

A slow cooker is key to replacing a woman.

Plug it in before work, come home to a hot meal. No nagging. Throw it in the dishwasher. Done deal.:-D

Well if it's done in your territory then I'm sure it's traditional enough for me
