High 90's typically. It was very un even he was an old dude. I wish I ran into him a couple of years earlier.

Natural color Cavebear.
BlacktailStalker, The two points on the back / left antler were just over the one inch longer than base as per scoring rules.

I too can only see 9 points....why would you call this a non/typ????

Well... for me a series of 3 points facing backward isn't typical, and cannot be scored. Why do we not have a category for total antler scored as non-typical do elsewhere ?

Thats a beautiful old bruiser! Non typical points on a BT are rare.I agree there should be a category for them.

thats a great looking old buck , would like to see him with his body attached!
True ' non typ' blackies are about as rare as wining the 649 ! Ive never seen one first hand ..YET...have a couple with 4 brow tines on one side and one 6X5 with an extra main beam , but nothing with lots of 'junk up top' ( above the brow area) I posted a pic of a true monster nontyp blackie on a past thread ' monster bodied blacktails' buck most would donate a body part for!!..deer season is sooo far away....

Look at how rounded off and deep his muzzle is ,( deep meaning the distance from the corner of his mouth to the bridge of his nose)) clear clues to being a senior...great deer!

i agree with mark. not what i would call non typical. i must be very lucky because this year in mission i saw a 4x4 with a droptine and 2 points coming off the droptine. didn't know it was that uncommon.

I agree that Blacktail do not get high trash like Mulies & Whitetail, but they do get unscorable points. Anything non typical or un even just doesn't count.
I just wished there was a catagory for them for total antler growth.
