I have been trying to get a hunting licence in the Tri-cities area for the last little while. Went to the usual places and either they don't carry it any more or they don't have it.
Any suggestions? Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody? Tom

They expire at the end of March,should be avail. April 1st

International hunting store in surrey is still selling previous years. If you are intersted in 2009 licence.

Riverside Fly and Tackle in Port Coquitlam should have them. That new store on Prarie Ave, Blue Line Outdoors might carry them as well.

2010 liceneces arnt out yet. I asked about when they would be out and they said mid april. Funny I will be bear hunting before mid april.

I bought my 2010 licence yesterday, so they ARE available.

Got mine yesterday at the BC Govenmant bld in Maple Ridge on Dewdney Truck road and got my bear tag as well

Check your booklet from this year, it's the same as all the other years. To say they aren't out yet is a falicy. It's the stamps/tags that change but in colour only!!

The tag colours don't change, Just the issue date and Valid to date change.
Riverside Fly and Tackle in Port Coquitlam should have them. That new store on Prarie Ave, Blue Line Outdoors might carry them as well.
Riverside and Searun both don't have any in stock. Blue Line on Prairie doesn't sell it at all. Guess I need to wait.

Go to your local BC Access Center. If they are anywhere that is where they will be.
I got a licence, black bear, and grizzly tag last week from wholesale sports. The tags and licences do not change year to year. When they sell them to you they just fill in the year on them........ That why it reads........... "Licence is valid from date of issue to March 31st 20___ "

Northside Hardware 604 941 2434 North west corner of Coast Meridian and Prarie in PoCo. It is next door to the pub. It is the last place you would guess to buy a licence. Give them a call first to make sure he has in stock the tags you want.
Others closest to Coquitlam: Wall Mart Lougheed Mall (hit and miss with them if the staff know what to sell you) or Wanstalls in Maple Ridge.

No. Hunting licences are not available on line.

That would make to much sense if they did...

Walmart stopped selling it as of last year.
Seems like the government agent in Maple Ridge is more of the sure thing.

If you have bought a hunting licence in March for the upcoming hunting season (for after April 1st) Your issue date should read Valid from 10/04/01 at 12:01am. And you cannot be sold a grizzly tag before April 1st. I just tried buying one at our local Access Center. I will also send you a PM slee if you don't see this post. Wouldn't want you having problems after you bag that big grizz!

Just talked to the MOE. There is no problem buying a grizz tag before April 1st........ :) You can buy all of your tags now for the season if you wanted to...

Just a heads up Walmart is no longer selling licenses or tags. They do at least still have ammo.

Try the army surplus store on shaughnessy in dt poco. i think i heard that they carry them . also , wanstalls in maple ridge
