My brother and I are thinking of heading out to the cranbrook area in late september to see some family and were planing to spend some time hunting out there as well , I was wondering if any body has some info as to witch M-U is good to go explore ? I'm not asking for your hot spots just where has some good access and possibly some elk ? Thanx for any help.

You'll have it to yourself this year, as everyone's gonna be in on the Elk Clubbing/Slaughter in the West Kootenays.
If it's your first time, put in for the cow draws in the sh1t fields near Cranbrook. When the LEH Enquirer 2010 edition comes out, you'll see the draws close to town.
Canal Flats is popular, but busy.
That should keep you offa my hill anyway ;-)

I am not from there, but if you go to the Bull River Inn and ask for help you may be surprised.

Elk are anywhere in this area just pick a mountain out and head up it you should find elk.

Your family in Cranbrook should no some hunters there ask them if they do and if so if they could point out a spot for you..

All regions in 4 carry fair to good elk hunting head out and you will find hint 4-26 region is one place to not over look ,good luck..
