Kent Archibald sounds like a good choice

http://firearmsafetytrainingcourse.com

The only problem is his course runs monday, wednesday, friday 7-10:30 which is kind of late for a kid on school nights.

Take a look in here http://www.bcwf.bc.ca/programs/core/ and click the link in red.

Maybe the young-un! can study the online stuff and just get tested later??

Though everyone wants to get their little guys/gals out and hunting. Taking the CORE Program at 10 years old can be very challanging. The CORE Course is designed for a 14yr old in grade 8. For every junior that manages to make it through on their first try there are many that do not. Let them enjoy the experence of being mentored by an adult and bring them to class when the little guy/gal is a little older. A couple of years makes all the difference in the world. That is why they have junior hunting licences. This allows the junior to get out and gain some experience before taking the course.
