So, any of you guys know when the PG gun show will be held this year?? Wanna know if I should hold off buying stuff till the show, you know "show special pricing" type stuff?? Moosin

May 8th and 9th. I have never been to one and was just wondering if a person can expect any real good deals on rifles or archery gear. Anybody ever get any great deals at one of these.

as with any so called "gun show" if you wish to purchase quality guns or archery equipment, your best bet and safest bet is with a reputable Licensed retailer
gun-shows are a mecca for hacks and scammers, and rarely is there any "scorching deals" that dont come back to bite you in the A$$,:shock:

buy from a reputable dealer, save a headache, save some money!:wink:

I attended the PG gunshow last year as we happened to be there for the weekend. As far as guns & deals go not much caught my eye.

What did catch my eye was a gentleman selling a book about being a POW during WWII. I spent some time talking with him and bought his book. His name is Anthony Cowling and he survived almost four years of hell with his Japanese captors. If he attends this years show stop in and give him the respect he has earned by listening to him for a few minutes.

I work the shows often. There are some great deals that can be made at these shows.I have seen some super deals on both archery and firearms. There are many tables who like to ''wheel and deal''. If you wait towards the end of the show, often the prices could be lowered to make a sale. If you have anything to trade, they will work something out. Fun place to spend a couple of days, especially if it is raining outside. You will not regret it.

i got the last 2 lbs of VV 550 in exsistance for cheap,some 9.3 stuff but there was very few Barnes TSX around and no 6.5 cal rifles to be had.

I handled two 6.5's around 2:00. One all matching Swede for $400. Bit much for a project, but fair price for one to have in original condition.

I missed all the deals too! Spent to much time visiting. Was going to buy a new Bow but Bartell just would come down to my price :) . Did come home with a pound of powder and some bullets.

It was a good day. Some hot deals, while most went quick, there's still some to be had tomorrow. Some guys were selling for low, some for high, just gotta pick the deal that makes ya happy. I was selling raffle tickets for our club, did awesome, sold about 200 tickets !! I'll be taking tomorrow off but we'll have a couple other members there selling tickets again.

was there bought 2 boxex of accu bond vital shok 180 gr 300wsm for 85 $ decent bargain i figured

no 6.5 cal rifles to be had.
I counted at least 2 M38s and and at least 1 M96 ... lots of brass ... a few boxes of accubond 140 grains bullets .. a couple 100 grain partitions ....

was disapointed in the archery selection ... or lack there of ... Taylor had a couple trad bows there ..but didnt look like they were on the sales table ... OSFS/NTF had a few compound bows there as well as a few crossbows that I fondled ... I went looking for large Heavy artilary brass (105 or 155) and Trad archery stuff ... was dissapointed in those respects .. but alot of neat old stuff there


Really disapointed when I didnt walk out with a Remmy 700 odd 6 that I tried to buy for 15 bucks ;)
