Browning Hell's Canyon. I own two, great jackets for average hunting (not too hot, not too cold)

For the price range I would agree, it will leak in a really hard downpour but is good enough for most hunting, very comfortable and, as stated they are rarely to hot or cold

You might want to look at this alternative to the norm.

I have this jacket and it is awesome. I live on the "rock" and we see some rain:wink:.

Best all around camo pattern going.

Remington jackets at WalMart.
5 in one ( maybe 4 in one ??) style. Waterproof outer, inner insulated jacket with zip off sleeves.
Decent quality, low price.

Nice Jackets but in anything more than a drizzle I get soaked in my hells canyon.

What is the fabric like? Lightweight or Heavy.

What else can you say about it?

Ive never worn mine in a downpour. When it gets nasty out I put on my packable Browning Dry-Lite jacket over the Hells canyon

I roll the window up. Warm and dry, never leaks a drop.

I looked at the hells canyon and it does seem like a nice jacket but I was hoping to get something with a hood.

Columbia wool shirt-jack is my first choice, different layers under it depending on conditions and a Cabelas wool jacket with dry-plus for those rainy days..

I have a Rivers West rain jacket as well but i find I sweat too much and always migrate back to my Cabelas jacket.

i have the cabela's mt050 whitetail extreme jacket.

absolutely love it. quiet, gortex, warm.

my only beef is the price. but, i'd rather spend an extra $100 bones to be warm and dry then settle for something that i will be miserable with in a downpour.

Integral Designs Packable with E-vent and a Browning wool camo over top...

E-vent fabric is 10x more breathable then gortex and more water proof aswell. Mine was $200 plus the $60 for the wool. It will out work the rest of them and has a great warrenty ta'boot.
