Anyone have any goals for the up and coming hunting season?

Mine is to tag out on a Spring Grizz, and hopefully get on a Caribou hunt in August with my dad, uncle, and cousin if we are lucky enough to get a couple draws.

Lots of plans and a long wish list, now I just have to figure out how to get it all done. Of course there is always work which interferes with these plans. Right now I am concentrating more on fishing.

My Hunting Goals For 2006.

Spring B. Bear hunt on the Island this April. (Hope to get a nice sized bear for a 3/4 mount)

Stone Sheep hunt this August. (This is the most serious hunt for me. I am looking for a big ram to put on my wall)

Island Blacktail this September (A hunting partner has talked me into this and I'll admit it does sound fun and challenging.)

Mule Deer in November (I want a 180+ buck typ. or non.)

Whitetail Deer in November. (I want a 180+ buck typ. or non.)

I also got a really nice video camera for christmas and intend to try my hand at filming some of these hunts but we shall see how that works out!

Happy Hunting!
Carl

Just a couple small goals for me this year.

1) To get a nice Tom Turkey in the spring season

2) To get up to Ft St John area for the open Cow Elk Season in early Oct, even if I dont get a shot at anything, just the chance to get up there and try river boat hunting with Brother in-law's uncle.

3) To get a nice Whitey buck 4x4ish. Passed up on 5 bucks the last 2 yrs, need an opportunity at a nice buck.

4) Take lots of pictures of all the animals I keep seeing when I dont have my camera with me by making sure I have the camera with me.

And most of all

5) Just to get out and enjoy God's green land and animals.

Spend time with my wife and son in the great outdoors, and fill my freezer. Take the truck and run a couple new trails and hit the mud holes hard.

Do more hunting/exploring on the Island with friends and family. Go to new areas and stay for at least two days with my new(used) camper, no more one day trips. Take more photos. Hunt with my son and daughter when they pass their Core and Pal exams, and buy them their own rifles when they do. Take a bear this year. See a Blacktail buck this year in the bush, not just in my garden, and hopefully get a shot at it.

#1 wish for this coming season is to get my daughter into a decent blacktail with the crossbow and create an addict.

#2 get my blackbear with the crossbow (soon - very soon)

#3 get into a 3x4 or 4x4 blacktail for myself (doesn't matter with what)

#4 mulie 4x4 or better

#5 another chance at a moose ( and I promise I won't get bull fever this time)

Mark -

Getting another big buck like you did last fall should be a cinch !!

All you need to do is focus on moose hunting and glassing a cutblock for moose like last fall .... and viola .... a big buck will show up in your binos !!

Except this time it will be that big non-typical !!

First goal is to get my son his first elk , after that I'm open to any opportunity that comes along, I would like to tag a nice whitetail this year if we have a enough time at the end of the season of course pending on the work load. Hopefully every body has a safe as well productive year in either seeing or harvesting game, good luck to all.

My goal for 2006 is to shoot a Big Mulie, 3 Big Whitetails with one being out of province, 7' Blackbear, Big Bull Elk, Small Bull Moose, twister Ram, long and heavy Goat and a couple grouse.;)

Maybe it will work out that I shoot 2 big mulies and 2 big whitetails instead but I'll take either.
