I have a guy who wants to trade his pse challenger bow for a 22. I want to try bow hunting but don't want to spend the coin until I know it's for me. The bow looks entry level so I was wondering if some bow hunters could give me some feed back. Trade a mossberg semi auti with scope and 2 ten round clips for this bow? He had a value on it of $200....me I have way too many 22.'s kicking around. Your feedback and advice is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the Chalenger. How old is it? Is the bow going to fit you - draw length, weight, etc. Is it a package deal with arrows, quiver, and al the necessaries to shoot? Does it come with a release?

Comes with a quiver...a rest. No release though. Draw length is 30" and weight is 60lbs. So I know from my measurements that it will fit...

Well, if you've got a closet full of .22's and you want to get into archery - this seems like a good (inexpensive) way to do it. Although, if there is a D-loop on the string, you're going to need a release.
