For hunting with your specs , the which bow argument is endless , the which bow is best is a continuous battle. You have to touch, feel, hold , draw etc to find what fits yer build and budget. Try as many as you can , ask alot of questions , there's lots of free help right here......... :-D

I have a PSE Nova (older one) in that area, but I know they are still making ones in that range. Also, I know Alpine makes a bow in that category as well. As Ruger4 said, try as many as you can to get the feel you like best.

he`s talking recurve. a good bowyer should be able to build you something like that. like checkmate.

Email this guy - he'll answer that question about draw length in a jiffy. Chad@recurves.com (Chad@recurves.com)

As for what bow to buy (question #2) It is commonly held that Recurves are "more forgiving" and easier to draw/shoot than Long bows. Plus they're easier to handle/shoot (being a bit shorter and faster) in a hunting situation.

Hope that helps.

 Hey Pale Rider , Chek-Mate has a perfect recurve for you . Their Falcon can be rather short and is very effective for those with shorter draw length . The best value for a custom fast trad bow out there .
