My buddy Steve found this bad boy last week at work. We're hoping to match it up before the rodents find it.

I forgot to take a pic before I picked it out of the snow so I dropped it back in the way it was when I found it. When I found it i had to grab it quick before my uncle spotted it, he didnt know why i stopped. The base was froze in the old snow, any antlers laying flat would be covered with the new snow the last few days. Some of the places we went there is up to a foot of new snow.

It is totally understandable to grab a shed like that out of the snow before grabbing the camera first. I've done it many a time myself.

Probed an infest today that was home to a pair of moose. Same size tracks and beds so I'm assuming younger bulls. Several beds and tons of trail. Made the walking a bit easier but I still stuck the tails on my shoes. Snow was a solid 30" deep. Havn't seen any sheds yet but they are using our sled trails more every day. Whitetail tenderloin over the fire for lunch. I love my job too!!!

Those are both really nice sheds guys, and for that I am totally jealous. Not the working conditions however. I drove my pickup all the way to work today near Little Fort (no sleds) and layed out a road and Fd block without snowshoes (1200m elev). Sweetness!! One of the best February blocks in years with absolutely zero snow under the canopy.

Good to hear some other poor fellas out suffering on the misery slippers. Unfortunately for me, no moose where I am working these days. All have dropped to lower elevations where snow is less and food is more. But they are close to home, just have had no time to sled shed hunt so far this year. Got a nice 3 pointer muley on the trail to Conkle Lake a few weeks ago. Heavy!!

Happy hiking and looking for spring snow soon!
