Just wondering what a good predator rifle would be, as I am going to be getting into hunting them within the next year?

Thanks

I shoot a 223. Lots of people like the 243, 22-250, and I have heard some good things about the 204 ruger

Had a chance to finally try the .204 ruger on two yotes today, but decided they where to close (20 yards or less) and let them run away:roll:.

204 ruger great gun but if your lookin for a cheaper gun and cheaper ammo go with the 223

.223 or .243. Both great calibers with very little recoil and cheap ammo.

I love 204 Ruger in a rifle with a heavy barrel and receiver. Only problem is that ammo is tough to find now plus it went up in price. Couple years ago Hornady ammo could be had for just over $20 now you can't find any Hornady and the stuff that is available is very limited and costs over $35 per box.

For reloading 204 caliber is great, lots of bullet choices- Nosler, Berger, Hornady, etc. And bullets are really cheap compared to larger calibers.
