I spent the morning stalking this 5 point whitetail with my 2 year old son Shaun. We played a classic game of spot and stalk, crouching while we ran for cover and we even had to belly crawl to get within shooting distance of this magnificent buck. Its been along time since I had to work this hard to tag out in region 8, but finally we squeezed off a shot and then I was told "shoot deer now cook, eat". I am a proud daddy:wink:.

Figured it was better than him running around shooting at us. He spent a good half hour hunting by himself after, dragging it all over the house. On a side note I would love to see a buck with antlers on him at that scale:eek:

the right side looks a bit weak but not bad for a 2 year old.:-D he should be more aware of where he's pointing the muzzle though. isn't it illegal to hunt with handguns:mrgreen:

He has watched his older brother and I go hunting and bring game back and now whenever he sees an animal on tv he always say "boom shoot (insert animals name here)dead now eat or cook". I have to sneak out to go hunting unless I am hitting the road or scouting. He is pretty cool and I think I have my 8 year old daughter interested in shooting ditch chickens when she turns 10, life is looking good.
