Can't just one person go kill something and post a story and pictures from the day. I am so sick of sitting here looking at this boring crap. Please someone....you people who live out in the sticks.....I dont care if you just take a picture of roadkill! I want to see something dead! Anyone with me on this one? I have spent 2 days hunting Lynx/bobcat now this year, and have no dead animals to post. Sorry.

i cant post pix on this thread, could someone put the new pix in my gallery up for big bore. two different bobs.. heres the story, first one was, in the snow found a track and let 1 dog go wen he was on track we let 3 more go, my hunting partner took the 1st one, it was his 1st cat.. the second one i was free casting wen my main dog took off after the second cat.. both are 30+ pounders.

I used to keep a variety and had a 17' fat Burmese, that thought she was a lap dog.... Should've skinned her out when she died.

Wow............ nice rough cuts on that dog box! I thought my carpenter skills were bad! On the other hand it looks strait and will hold a dog on the top so it is definatly better then any of the ones I've built LOL.
So you know..... a large coffe can makes a good templet for dog head relief holes. Oh yeah nice pussy too.

yea, i'm not the best carpenter, but in my defence. my hunting partner showed up after aweek of it being built lol. he said lets go, i couldn't find my jig saw so i started to cut holes for air with my cordless, and ran out of battery. and didnt have a batt charged( typical for me) so i finished with, good ol trusty jonsered. i've coated it with marine enamel now. i made it from 3\4" ply wood. its so heavy you could cut mini donuts off the arse hole when i load it. good haul on the beavs wayne..

LOL........ Wish I had pictures of my old dog box... you'd laugh your ass off, in order for the top to be level with the roof of the truck I had to put a 2x4 under one side when I bolted it down. Like you,my carpenter friend showed up a week later, ripped it off the truck (note: did not unbolt it) and built me a really sweet model with rounded corners, side loading and a piece of plexi glass so I can look out my back window and see whats going on in the box while I'm driving.

Bret yes we have been doing just that ,we put 5 skinned out beaver there 5 days ago but no evidence of wolf scats anywhere ???.

I wish we could get some snow in the area where we are putting the carcases so we could see if any tracks in the area :icon_frow..

Ya it's been pretty messed up this year, the snowline seems to be sitting much higher then normal. Pretty much every time I have been going up Mt Washington, the transitition zone has been above the old strath park entrance(where the snowmobiles and snowshoers park) up to just belong the sunrise. As oppose to the normal spot which is around the middle chain up area to the salt shed, thats an easy 300m of elev.

We have also had alot of wet days on the runs, I'm up there 2-3days a week to work and 1-3days a week to play. There has been 8 days mixed precip t just plain rain this season.

Patience my friend . . . I'll put forward my best effort in 3 weeks time to hopefully cut my first February goat tag! Not looking for any thing spectacular, just some sausage for the freezer and too lose the excess around my waist.

This guy hunts goats for "fun" and to lose weight. Spectacular! :-D

I sure hope you get some! Cant wait to see the pictures. Take lots, including the spotting, guting and quartering and pack loaded, and the sheer look of exhaustion, so we all can hunt along with you. We are currently bored to tears on here.

Of all the people on this site, you are the man! :-D

Tell me about it.

I should get out and shoot the bow this week.

Have to go fire up the smoker though as the deer has finally been processed. Got a thread for that I'm working on with pictures.
