I finally got around to scoring my white tail buck from 2005, I was very conservative trying to not over score it. Went on the B & C site and according to the online calculator it is 115 points. What do you guys think?

I know its not a record but not too bad for the Okanagan, especially when it was shot 15 minutes from the house. By the way those are 12 inch tiles.

I was very conservative trying to not over score it.

That means you need to re score it.

Did you remember to add the inside spread?

punched in every thing on their online score sheet but I dont own a 1/4" wide tape just a 50' soft tape and it is the first time I have ever scored a rack because I usually just cut em up and make knife handles out of them. Deer scales make the nicest handles, depending on where they are shot the will have different colours, the last handle I made for my current knife is slightly purple (moose antler from Francois Lake). Now that I am almost 40 I am thinking that saving some of these racks would be a good thing for the memories, I guess I should invest in a tape just for racks:mrgreen: right on more tools. Oh and I thought it would have been higher too from the racks I have seen that were scored.

I think something is out.

Try and find someone that's done it.
A couple seasons back I decided too give mine a whirl and it was embarrassing - I ended up getting my taxi-guy to give me a tutorial.

Nice rack and I'd say your scoring was probably pretty good. Looks like about a 115 to 120 inch rack to me.

Whenever you shoot a buck that scores over 110, you're looking at a fairly nice rack....in the neighborhood of:::

17 inch main beams
15 inches mass per side
18 inches in total tine length
15 inch inside spread

That's a fair amount of antler and it adds up to about 115 inch score.

Just rescored it and got 117 3/8, good enough for me I am not going to take it in to get scored the only record book I care about is the one in my head anyways:wink:.

It`s a bit decieving isn`t it.Deductions will kill you with B&C.
I really don`t like that system much,it rewards symetry and penalises character.
