I used to hunt whitey's down around 8-15 around Grand Forks, but never elk.... cant recall ever seeing elk there. But there are sure some nice whitey bucks in that area. 8-15 is down around Grand Forks/midway area.

IIRC, the area just West of GF holds Elk. From about the old city of Pheonix eastward? One would have to be careful though not to tresspass as there is getting to be some development in there since the last time I prospected there. Canuck2 might have some thoughts on this area or maybe palmer? Fred

I have hunted 8-14 and saw elk but not 8-15. As the crow flys the two areas are not that far from each other. I think there should be some elk around. I agree, big whities!

No luck yet in 8-15 for Elk. A hunting buddy shot a nice 5X6 Bull Elk a few years back in 8-14. He shot it and it ran full speed and plowed into a large trunked old pine tree and died. I still tease my buddy that it was the tree that bagged the Elk not him. He says at least HE shot an Elk there and what do I have to show for it.
