Looks like numbers of tentative permits are up from last years.
Spatsizi 6-20 is up to 80 a good jump.
Edziza 6-21 is up to 10 from 6.
Atlin and The Tat look the same

Any bets on how the odds will change ?

the ODDS will change dramatically! considering last season the FN road blockades were of some interest, to say the least!:-?

FYI: Region 6 Sheep

Spatsizi going to 80 authorizations from 50.
Mount Edziza going to 23 authorizations from 6.
Atlin 6-27A going to 50 authorization from 40.
6-19 coming off LEH going to GOS Aug 1st - Oct 15th. Proposed
Atlin 6-25C coming off LEH and going to GOS Aug 1st - Oct 15th. ProposedThe BCWF and the resident hunters have put in tremendous effort and time (years) to address harvest under utilization in the Skeena Region resulting from hindering, mundane and outdated regulations. MoE is finally starting to listen to their constituents. We still have a ways to go but at least this is forward movement.

What needs to be implemented by MoE in the Skeena Region is the resident only pre-season sheep hunt opportunity. This was proposed over 3 years ago, moved from regional to provincial decision makers with no action to date. Time for MoE to get off the pot and implement. The proposal is sustainable, with merit, statistically justifiable, supported by policy, areflects of regulations benefiting resident over non-residents and shines respect towards resident priority.

Atlin GOS ? Really .........

Just 6-25C. It was pointed out that residents were on LEH and over a 13 year period harvested zero (0) sheep whereas the GO in the area harvest 25 over the same period. LEH to GOS with GO remaining on quota is what has been proposed and from what I understand moving forward.

The info in regards to LEH opportunities is from the "early sheep hunt LEH synopsis page" provided by MoE. This should be accesible on line.

The notice is the updated LEH page. Which other page are you refering to?

If you compare the LEH synopsis to the updated page it also confirms the removal of 6-19 and 6-25C LEH meaning that GOS will apply.

This year's Spatsizi odds will be around 2.7 based on last year's number of applications...
Edziza is way up, my book from last year shows 6 LEH, up to 23 this year, that will make this year's odds about 3.4 (instead of 13!) based on last year's number of applicants (which will probably increase with the increased number of tags being given out)...certainly means more guys are going to get a crack at them anyway! Time will tell if harvest actually goes up...

I noted that as well. Interesting that it got moved to GOS from only 15 LEH and 3.7 odds. Anyone know why? Lack of res harvest again?

Boxhitch can provide an official MoE link outlining the numbers you indicate and I will follow up.

If not I would suggest the "official MoE" document link I provided is what should be viewed as regulation.

Yes, lack of resident harvest and really, wtf would we have an LEH hunt there? There's no access and it's a fail-safe full curl regulation.

Residents do not shoot enough sheep in all of region 6 including GOS MUs to fill their allocated harvest in just the LEH hunts alone. This has been going on since christ was a cowboy.

These LEH authorizations are still not enough to achieve harvest targets. In Spatsizi an educated guess put the required number of LEH auths somehere around 150 - MINIMUM.

And all the hunts are being proposed by MoE to end Oct 15 instead of the end of Oct.

And no, I'm never happy.
