If the dikes at Boundary Bay are closed to "unauthorized motor vehicles" as posted at the gates, why is it that there is a steady stream of cars there?

There are dog walkers, gawkers, bird watchers grammas and grampas all driving there.

Are you asking why they go there ? Or do you see them driving past the gates ?
City folk go there to walk ..... hold hands, talk about marriage ... makes them feel they are in the wild outdoors ...

I know why people walk, cycle, walk dogs, etc. on the dike.

The Corporation of Delta staff leave some gates open so that they can drive along and check pumps and things, then people in family cars drive up and down the dike.

I guess they feel if the gate is open its an invitation to say oh gee I thought it was ok to enter .... some probably can't read english ... some probably don't care.
Maybe they get tickets ....... Why do people park on the wrong side of the road ?
Why do people park in no parking zones on any street !!! cause they just don't care I guess .........
