Do roots that differ in colour from that of the mainbeam increase or decrease the score of the "trophy" in question?

Just wondering as one individual on the site seems to post lots of pictures that have led me to believe that differing colour is in fact a "score".

Good job on all those string and feather bucks. Looking forward to seeing more in 2010.
