no snow

been really lacking in the snow dept with the dogs. been out in either really dry or down pour mainly just to get the dogs working a bit.
Where the hell is the closest fresh snow to here right now:evil:

Just in the tops right now I would assume. Have to head up any one of the highways to find snow. Anything you do find is probably not going to be in good condition anyway.

I was up at Murray lake Sunday and there was some fresh snow are you looking for cougar or bobcat . Came across 2 sets of fresh tracks (cougar ) in some nice snow 3 to 5 inches of powder on 4 feet of hard pack ,they looked lick a nice tom and 4 mile to the east there was a smaller set . let me know if you would like any other info

My 2 partners took the dogs today and headed east looking to cut some tracks.They found some all right,but they were 2 sets of extremely large fresh wolf tracks.No cat tracks at all in a usually reliable area.The lack of snow didn't help,and they kept the dogs in the box.Maybe tomorrow. Gunner

pretty bunk year fer sure, kyle. there is no snow because work is slow for me. if there was snow, i'd be busy i'll bet. lol.. i;ll be free casting my dogs in the last week of bob if the snow doesn't fall by then.. we went out 3 times this year. we got 1 bob, not even 1 cougar track. nothin like cleanin dog sh!t, for a year.

Apex Alpine has had 35cm in the last week try nickelplate road. I haven't seen any large cat trcks there but I am sure there around.

went part way up anderson creek yesterday, cat tracks right near the highway. Snow was older and road was icy though, also seen lots of cat tracks up there at the end of deer season two or three different sets. Like I said though snow was pretty old.

The coyotes on the hill here are howling up a storm driveing the dogs nuts.

casting is like a box of chocolates.. a bear this time of year would suck fer sure.
well if this crap weather keeps up the cat population shoud be good for next year, and maybe the bears will be out earlier in april..
