Right up above my house about 2k I came across 1 set of wolf tracks yesterday going up the forestry road. They were 5 1/2 - 6" across ( I want to go back and put a tape on them and take a picture) . They went right to my favorite hunting spot were there are tons of deer tracks right now.....grrrr.

Any idea what size wolf this would belong too?

Sounds like King Lobo to me. A loner who hunts by himself is usually the biggest wolf you'll never want to see in the bush - and crafty too. Had one bugger our trap sets for a whole season once, until he finally got hit along the highway.

5 days later Went back up there today and took some pictures.. Never having seen wolf tracks before...these are big. Too bad they are in the same area I hunt. Just up the road from this 300 yards was a Bull moose with a small palm rack. wonder how long he will be around for.

Sides rounded out after a little melting, but even so, a very good sized track indeed.
