I am new to this site and would like to see some pics of any elk that have been taken in the past. If you could give the details ex: weapon of choice, how far, GPS coordinates ( Just joking)

Nice Elk!

I watched quite a few different bulls this deer season one really nice 6x6 about like what you have shot there.

I am from FSJ, most of my family still lives there and it's where we hunt every year.

bwhnter thats one nice bull elk looks like it wasnt too hard to pack out either good job and congrats how much did it weigh?

No it wasn't that hard to pack out but we still had to pack him about 400 yards through the Barley. The farmer said that if it hadn't been such a wet year he would have loaded him with the tractor. I not sure how much he weighed because I do my own butchering but he was the biggest bodied elk that I have ever seen on the ground.

Are they Roosies? I would love to hunt them I put in for the draws every year but haven't been lucky yet. Looking forward to seeing your pics

no, i wish. it was in december on the island. shot him at 350-400 yards.
i sure would like to experience the rush of calling one in. moose or an elk for that matter.

Nice rosie. I got one in the same area in 2004. a 6 by 6 on the mount cain road. the pic is in my gallery, i can't seem to post it to here. The odds on the draw were 181 to 1. damn near died when i got it.

Great pics and you guys have shot some awesome bulls. It seems that every elk is soaking wet though. Even with bad weather it is hard not to smile for the photos when you are sitting behind such awesome bulls. Congrats to all.
