Had a great last weekend out with a good friend this morning, lots of birds and even a few dead ones!
Started set up over dekes and then thought we'd try a little jump shooting as the sun tanning weather moved in...
In spot we hit about 10 mins in I think I see a rabbit, then my eyes do their job and I see it's a pheasant! Cool, a few minutes later 3 of them flush long, super cool?
We keep walking the ditch, no ducks, see the cock again, and figure what the hay, lets see if we can jump him. Well the plan worked so well that Rob almost stepped on him as he bolted! I was armed with my iPhone and was able to snap a couple of pics, wasn't tell I got home that I could tell I actually caught him on film! One of my best off hand shots of the year!

There are a few breeders left out there, hope the coyotes aren't lucky..
