Congrats on your first hound. Where abouts do you live ?
If you dont have property, best thing you can do early is teach him to be quiet in the yard :)

I upload pictures to a host site like photobucket and then copy/paste the image URL to here.

congrats on the hound . one thing you will learn about hounding is to be discrete . Its loads of fun and a huge rush when they are under a bear or cat (even a racoon)

Do you have trained hounds for him to run with?

Ive known so many people who wanted to get rid of their hounds because they made too much noise... idiots..!!!

Good luck with your puppy.. would love to see pics!

Congrats! I can't wait until I get a dog.

We have family friends with hounds, and wow are they loud and goofy, they sure are a vocal dog.

Congradulations On your new adventure, and it will be an adventure. I`ve had hounds for quite a few years know& everytime we go out it`s never routine. one little piece of advice put a 1" horse bell on it`s collar, it might save it`s life!

it's a wolf repellent! or sleigh bells work apparently too.. people\horses= bad news for a wolf..
