they are illegal in canada till 2014 i heard.. guys are getting them but they get confiscated @ the border if they find it.. i've also heard the fine is 20 g's.

This is what I found:

no prob kb, i beleive the freqency (or how ever it's spelled:-) is used for the spot locator,messaging system. i think. beleive me when i say i want one. :-)

thats the same reason they are not approved in australia also. if and when they get approved i shall get a set as they are the bee knees. Till then i will be useing the good old Radio telemetry and the booming voice of Murphy to locate my hounds:-D
