why isnt a 303 a great yote rifle??? it does a wonderful job on them...the 303 has probably killed more animals in north america then the 06....

and ricky there is lots of good area around kamloops just go out some where and drive...

man if you used a bow for coyotes. then a 303 is no problem, a 303 has shot alot of moose and other large game.it will be okay for coyotes, it isnt a long range rifle, but it will do the job.

Ricky have fun with your grampa! Anyday out is a good day. The 303 is a killer no queastion it's just not the ideal tool for the job, not very flat and a little large. But a good yotes a dead yote so hunt on.
Im sure all around kamloops is good.

Last time Iwas up that way (3yrs) I was camped somewhere on the tranquille-criss creak rd and had them right out side my camper. This was in Oct. and I no nothing about yotes so I cant tell you if they stay in one area or not. 303 shoud be fine I would think.
But just remember to take pics and tell us how it went and remeber if you dont see any yotes look for the elusive sneaky target to shoot there fun to, the main thing is have fun and stay safe.

Sorry to hear about your dad. But seems your Grandpa does a good job with you. You are here amongst hunters and I welcome you. It's good to have some young blood here.

Like Ruger said a 303 is just fine for yotes, keep at it and keep us posted.

Some of that semi open country off the road up to Sun Peaks looks like prime yote country to me. Lots of prey in and around there too.

LOL poor guy just wants to know where to shoot a dog in the 'loops and you guys are still stuck on his granddads rifle LOL. Your gun will work great. I have heard that Knutsford area is good. Goose lake road can produce some coyotes. Problem is finding crown land. Lots of private around, maybe you granpa knows an old friend with some land??

I just saw a HUGE male Coyote crossing the ball field at Riley park last night. He was a real biggie.

I pointed him out to my wife and she said: "Better phone Brian up so he can get out here and take care of it":lol:
