how would you legally tag the animal once down and then theres the whole issue of the possible second shot being needed, and the dressing out and packing of meat/trophy to deal with . sounds gimmicky to me and you can see millitary applications for the technology but i dont see many hunters enjoying it.

Just ridiculous enough that some yahoo's out there will think its a wonderful idea.
Hope it blows itself up before the laws forbid it.

The military already has this with Armed Robot Vehicles (ARV). I suspect that someone will try to sell this concept by saying you shoot from your computer, we will monitor, and then go retrieve your animal for you. I hope someone in this country doesnt try to persue this type of "hunt".

Totally missing the whole concept of hunting and enjoying the outdoors!

Check the date. 2004.

That was shut down fast and hard by sportsman's lobbies and the government before it even got off the ground.

Rightfully so.

Good to hear that there is some sanity out there still. My daughter sent this article to me and I never checked the date when I read it, its old news then.

Non-hunters send slaughtermen out every day to do their killing.
Maybe now they can kill their own.
Won't get off the ground.
