What an event fullday. Started out with me driving out to my first set up when driving by a lake i noticed some muskrat beds that were dug up. i kept looking and sure enough there were three coyotes out there, so i pulled over and put some bullets in my 22-250. I figured they were about 300 yards out so i aimed a little high. shot 2 times and coyotes were running every where. i walked out to check for blood but nothing. I think i should have just held the cross hairs right on it. Anyways up ther road i go to the set up. nothing came in. On the way back down i noticed some lyx tracks so i was gocking off into the trees. All of a sudden snow up over the hood. I was in the ditch deep. Good thing i brought my shovel. about an hour later i finally got out. Just enough daylight left for one more stand. i went to this lake where there was a good coyote trail going right around it. I called with the night n hale cotten tail for about ten mins when a yote came out on to the lake and bedded down at about 250yrds. I kept calling trying to get him to come in. a few mins later another one came out in the exact same place and bedded about 50 yrds away from him. I got sick of calling so i aimed right at the first one and got him. BANG FLOP. the other one stood up gave me a perfect broad side and bang. he started running right in my direction. I thougfht i had missed but about 20 feet and FLOP. turned out to be a good day. i will try to post some pics. All in All. I seen 7 yotes today, and 16 moose
