Been to a farm yesterday, and it was raining heavily for the most part.

So lots of ducks flying by, but none wanted to land. Why? Because the rain? We were hiding and it's how and where we usually hide and they land before. (haven't hunted there during rainly days yet so far)

A little more info would probably get you a better set of responses.

Were there other more desireable fields in the area? Like partially flooded feeding ground?? Have you shot there lots recently??? Did you have a spread? Calling or not? Maybe the birds don't like that field on Fridays??? or they were hungover from new years eve ;)

Yep more info required. Has that farm been hunted much? Was there feed in another nearby? Was there puddles there or nearby? All these things can come into factor.

We also hunted on our farm yesterday, but the ducks decided they wanted to go to the field next to the one we set up in. Got some, but it is difficult to get birds to come to you when there are "live decoys" in the vicinity. When there is a lot of wind and rain the ducks seem to move a lot. Today, where there were many ducks yesterday there were virtually none. Different weather too. Also, they are getting wary now as the season has been open two and a half months - the survivors are dumb.
