This picture is several years old. The chap in the picture is Marty Sennicker who is the inventor of the Sennicker snare dispatch system. The majority of these coyotes were taken in Alberta. I believe that when this picture was taken he had almost 1000 coyotes.

Though Marty skins quite a few he does have help. A few years back we had an instructor skin a coyote in 3min 40 sec. I have watch quite a few being skinned in competition around the 3 min mark. You have to remember that there is a huge difference between skinning for the fur market verses taxidermy

What about senceless is it? What difference does it make if the province says its legal?

The only shameful thing is having people who claim to be hunters on here dogging other hunters when they have behaved within the law.

Go join PETA before this thread shamefully and sencelessly slaughters you.

I don't think coyotes are on the same level as trees or water or various big game that we need to limit our usage of them. Not to say that they're useless, as the neighbour lady has lost several yappy dogs to them and I'm comforted by the silence after one gets killed by a few coyotes.

I's only senseless if the coyote fur prices have dropped really low on the market.

I don't think Quincy picked up on the fact that the guy was a trapper and perhaps thought the guys train of thought was it would just make for a funny picture to decorate the barn with a thousand hides. Bet he's regretting his comments already.

When I lived in the Glen Valley I saw lots that were obviously too big to be natural coyotes. We thought they might have been mangy wolves, since they were in packs. Shot a few of them; never recovered a body due to the terrain and the rounds used.
