I know that spot its Golden .Just going east up the hill i believe.I saw 3 sitting there one time.

Golden makes sense since I've seen herds on that corner sholder before. Also seen a nany and kid on the opposite side on the bank.

Exactly correct, just at the entrance to the Kicking Horse Canyon where the traffic control arm is, within city limits.
In the second picture facing the highway you can see the traffic control arms.

No goats right there, I think you're thinking of further east by the 6 Mile Bridge, goats seen there often.

Yes, these pics were taken just outside Golden, and not Revelstoke! It was taken back in 1986.
