They sure do make hunting fun . As far as im concerned there isn't a better animal to hunt . I will never say no to hunting them

I got this one in 1986 the last year they had the LEH draw in Nanaimo lakes , after that they shut it down for a few years. 6 x 7 measured 329 at that time it was 13 th in the record books probably 213 now lol

2008 - this bull groosed 317" with a busted off G2, if he had not been busted off he would have been a 330+ bull

2010 - 9X7 this bull grossed 354" and was shot minutes after my son shot his first elk, a nice little 5X5. Having my son's first elk be part of a double header with me is easily my best hunting memory!

BlacktailStalker, What is the story behind the Bulls in the Lake?




I was late season deer hunting and spooked them, they tried to cross the frozen lake.
Listening to them breathing and their antlers clanging together was unreal. From shore I was maybe 25 yards away tops.
I set back in the bush the first time and two came to shore, winded me hiding just 10 yardsa away and went back out.
They eventually came back to shore, I walked a 100 yards away and watched from the bush to make sure (not like I could do anything though)
I took about 40 pics and videos... many of which were stolen/copied and won a couple contests and made the background pic on the news channel (plagerized by the mayor of gold river)
