My first hunting trip ever, I was about 8 or so in the early 80's. Pic taken with my grandfather.

They hooked me out of school to go to the Nahatlatch valley with my grandfather, uncles and dad. I remember staying at the old 'Ranger's Cabin'.

Vividly remember there being no door and having to hang an old blanket to keep the 'baddies' out. Gave me a sense of comfort knowing that, but looking back I dont think it would have done too much ;)

Learned to hunt, shoot and sht in the woods in a week :)

Actually the boots are Kastingers:-D And yes, like walking in ski boots. Never ever have to worry about a twisted ankles..

great pictures though everyone, I love these old photos. I really don't know what all the hype is about modern cameras and huge megapixel counts these days, I think old film photos look way cooler and it seems like they all tell a story, super hd clear photos nowadays just dont leave much to the imagination and often are just assumed to be photoshopped anyway. old photos you know are real. wish I was a bit older back then to enjoy those days more.
