Well dad and I hit the fields both days this weekend. We went to a fully flooded field Saturday hoping for some good numbers but ended up being kinda slow. It was a fun hunt and dad got his first goose this dec. season. :mrgreen: No calling, or deeks, just made a nice close pass by. Then we tagged a drake mallard. Then dad shows off by pulling a 3 in1 on the widgeons. And that was our day.

On our way out yesterday, we scouted another partly flooded field we have permission for and there was about 600-700 ducks all over it! So decision was made to go there this morning. Unfortunatly the rain and fog was really harsh and the birds would only fly when the rain slowed down and the fog thinned out. We still managed 6 nice mallards, 3 each.

We still had a load of fun and now I am out of school for the next couple weeks so we'll be out there every other day/every day. :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Good to see you guys are getting out and hunting. I think I might have recognized your truck last weekend driving around the bay. I didn't know who it was at the time and you guys had stopped and were looking at my decoy spread I think.

Yep that was us! We figured that was you in your spot. No one else has a boat blind like that!! Those are some pretty deeks you have. Your spread looked very realistic by the way. It sounded like there was a lot of guys out on the bay that day.

BTW that flock of swans you guys saw with the snow goose in it, they flew by us yesterday morning at about 20 yards. Kinda funny seeing it with the swans but was a neat sight.
