Here is some pics of my most successful day guiding.
We got a big dump of snow, which had me worried because we had two high passes between us and the road. It was the last hunt of the year and only 2 camps stayed in this late in our outfit. The wrangler stayed home that day because he was sick, I sure could have used some help butchering oh well. The hunter and I did a huge loop into some territory that hadnt been hunted since before my time. We saw a few small moose but nothing we wanted so we headed back in the late afternoon following a valley where I had never been. I spotted a herd of caribou a long way off and one looked like a hog so we went after him it took us 2 hours to get there and when we did they were in a post rut stupor and we had no trouble getting close enough for a 1 shot kill. I butchered the bou double time and when I was finished we were 5 hours from camp with 1 hour of daylight. We made it about 45 minutes from the bou and we crested a hill and there was a good bull moose and a griz about 300 yards from us and only 30 yards from each other, I said '' well I guess we better shoot him'' the hunter was uncomfortable with the shot so we hustled down the hill in the dying light. When we come through the willows the bear was gone and the bull was 30 yards away. I told the hunter to take him but he was breathing so hard he couldnt hit a barn if he was standing in it. The moose just stood there like he didnt care so I dropped the pack and lay the hunter down, he shot it 3 times before it died. With him posted on guard against the bear (and still cussing the wrangler for staying home) I butchered up the bull. There was 7 deep puncture wounds in his chest from fighting and everything was green, it was the worst smell ever, there was 2 inches of green foam under the hide. I guess that was why the bear was there. We started back with 4 hours to go and pitch black. Like I said I had never been down this valley before and we had a hell of a time in the bogs trying to get home. At one point I fell in a creek looking for a crossing and it was -10 I was cold. When I got home my pants had frozen to the stirrup leathers. Anyway the bull was 58'' and grossed 206 and the bou grossed 419.

Howdy, more beautiful pictures to bring back memories!
Just don't say anything about any shots taken over 50 yds. as my laptop probably doesn't have enough memory to read all the sarcasm.
More pictures please they are great. Later
